Ramiro Guevara

Ramiro Guevara is one of the Senior Partners at Guevara & Gutiérrez. He specializes in Banking & Finance, Corporate Law, International Arbitration, and Oil & Gas, and has worked extensively in complex structured finance operations. Because of his extensive experience and exposure to some of the most important deals and cross border transactions in Bolivia, and because of his over 30 years of experience, he is widely regarded as one of the most experienced lawyers in the country.

Before founding the firm, Mr Guevara acted as Head of the Legal Department of the Bolivian Central Bank, as legal counsel to the Commission of Negotiation of Bolivia’s Foreign Debt, and as Director of the Boards of Yacimientos Petrolíferos Fiscales Bolivianos YPFB, the Bolivian Central Bank, and the National Stock Exchange Commission.He is a member of the Bolivian Bar Association, International Bar Association, American Bar Association, and the Bolvian Arbitration Commision of the Chamber of Commerce.
