Silviu Stratulat
Silviu Stratulat, the firm’s Managing Partner, heads the Corporate and M&A department of Stratulat Albulescu. Silviu is one of Romania’s top corporate lawyers and has many years of experience in providing highly complex legal assistance to a wide variety of international and local clients.
He has advised clients on the full spectrum of M&A transactions, including structuring transactions and the negotiations finalising the transactions, sale and purchase agreements of shares (share deal), asset acquisition or transfer of business areas (asset deal), conducting due diligence reports of target company, structuring, documenting and negotiating the transaction, while also ensuring advice on post-completion (conditions precedent) and other post-transaction matters (company integration, service of notifications to authorities).
His strong expertise in this field has ensured that various highly complex transactions were finalised successfully, his skill in the matter being acknowledged by clients and international law firms with whom Stratulat Albulescu-Attorneys at Law has worked.
Silviu is also very well acquainted to syndicated lending and acquisition finance, asset finance, derivative products, project finance, financial regulatory, insolvency & restructuring and structured finance, providing valuable legal assistance in this fields to numerous important clients. He has also accumulated experience in tax law on VAT related subjects and other fiscal issues, such as cross-border leasing, share transfers, insurance, off–shore companies and EU fiscal policies implemented in Romania after it joined the EU.
In addition, Silviu is a highly experienced real estate lawyer, assisting a large number of high profile real estate clients, such as landlords, tenants, lenders, developers, main contractors and various consultants, in a wide array of real estate transactions and projects.
His academic credentials include education experience in the Unites States, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom. Besides his Bachelor of Laws, he also has a Bachelor Degree in Economics and an L.L.M. Degree in corporate law. He is also a third year PhD student at the Faculty of Law, the University of Bucharest, working with a highly reputed Professor and Law practitioner.
